Litmus by Jyrell Athan Go

Litmus

2023

Litmus is a complete game design deck featuring over 20 pages of script, environmental art, critical storytelling features, a game demo, and assets. (All created from scratch by me.) This complete package is the latest in a long line of games that I have designed for some of the classes I took at UNT.

Escape Atlas

2024

This is a game design one-pager featuring a board game that I'm creating and testing for my Game Design Class at UNT. It is a single-player attack-scavenging game where the player is tasked with gathering resources to escape a dying planet. This is my first foray into board game creation, but it is something that I have always been interested in!

WIP DEMO

2018

Work in Progress was one of the first game prototypes I had ever created. The theme for this one was "Non-Euclidean Space." I had familiarized myself by following tutorials on gravity-shifting movement and using templates for blueprints. The levels were designed by me as I learned how to use triggers, create seamless portals, and refine my knowledge of Unreal development.

Project: Astro Frog

2023

This short demo is based on a game I created for the UNT 2023 Game Jam. The theme was "Drastic Measures."  I worked with a small creative team but worked wholly on the programming and UI/UX aspects of the game's development. The text adventure was referenced from an old text adventure horror game I found on itch.io. This was my second foray into 2D development in Godot, and I was glad to see us win Best Overall and Best Aesthetic in the Game Jam!

Patterns - PROXIMA UE5 Visualizer

2022

This was the first in a series of environmental artworks that I wanted to work on to help familiarize myself with the art. Through this process, I learned how to photoscan and import models, create cutscenes, and use the Niagara particle system to create this aurora-style audio visualizer. I had a lot of fun working on this over 2 days and decided to match it with a song I liked and put it on my YouTube channel.
